Srinagar: At least 25 temporary residential tin sheds were gutted in a mysterious fire incident that engulfed in Kohnkhan area of Khanyar in Srinagar in the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday, officials said.
The officials said that at least 25 temporary residential tin sheds were gutted in a fire that broke out at Kohnkhan on the bank of Dal Lake.
Officials said that the properties worth lakhs were destroyed in the fire incident.
The fire tenders however managed to reach the spot and doused fire.
The officials informed that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
We have lost everything, including cloths and utensils, in the fire incident, the affected families said.
Meanwhile, the senior PDP leader, Khurshid Aalam visited the fire affected families and expressed solidarity with them.
Aalam assured the fire affected families of immediate compensation.
