SRINAGAR: Army on Saturday said that three of its soldiers were injured in a suspected militant attack in Srinagar city outskirts.
An Army convoy came under fire near a hospital on Parimpora-Panthachowk bypass road in Bemina area of summer capital this afternoon.
Sources said that the Army convoy coming from Baramulla was attacked by the militants near SKIMS Hospital Bemina.
Following the attack, the area was cordoned off and combing operations was started to nab the militants, eye witnesses said.
Sources informed that the militants fled from the spot after attacking the convoy.
Meanwhile, Defence spokesperson, Rajesh Kalia said that three soldiers were injured in the attack. The injured troopers were evacuated to the base hospital and are under treatment, he added.
