NEW DELHI: Former Indian Foreign Minister and senior Bhartiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha Wednesday revealed that there was no response from Government of India (GoI) on the Kashmir Report submitted by his team, so far.
Government of India has not responded yet to the report about Kashmir that we submitted. May be, the government was busy in electioneering. Hopefully, the government will respond, Sinha told Kashmir based news agency CNS over phone from New Delhi.
He claimed that after the culmination of by-polls, things will start moving in right direction in Kashmir. I will myself again visit Kashmir Valley after the by-polls. Talks demand peaceful atmosphere and at present Valley is tumultuous. All efforts are on to establish peace in Valley to pave way for meaningful talks with stake-holders, Sinha said and regretted the killing of three civilians in Central Kashmir.
Pertinently, Yashwant Sinha led delegation had visited Valley twice after the Summer Agitation last year. The delegation recently met President of India and apprised him about the prevailing situation in Kashmir. The delegation has already submitted its report to Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India.
