SRINAGAR: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Monday claimed responsibility of attack on the house of PDP Minister, Farooq Andrabi, and said its men decamped with four rifles at Shishter Gaam village of Dooru area of South Kashmirs Anantnag district on Sunday.
Notable to mention here, that the attack on the PDP ministers house in Southern Kashmir took place days before the Lok Sabha by-polls on two Valley seats.
In a tele-statement to KNS, Hizb operational spokesperson, Burhan-ud-din said, the militants from our outfit attacked on police and CRPF at JK ministers house and decamped with four rifles. One policeman was critically injured in the attack.
He said, the militants after decamping with four rifles have reached the safer place.
Meanwhile, the operational spokesperson while quoting the Hizb Deputy Chief, Saifullah Khalid as applauding the militants for carrying out such attack.
Khalid said, our youth are much capable to carry out an attack on any politician.
Meanwhile, suspected militants also attacked house of a JK police cop in Budgam district on Saturday and Sunday intervening night.
The rebels barged into the residence of a J&K policeman Abdus Samad (ASI) in Hufroo village of Central Kashmirs Budgam district late on Saturday night, reports said on Monday.
The gunmen drove away the car that belonged to the policemans kin and later set it ablaze at Kralcheck locality on the periphery of Hufroo, a police official said. The policeman, he said, is posted at Baramulla jail in North Kashmir.
A case vide FIR No. 15/2017 U/S 392, 364 and 506 of RPC and 7/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Charar-e-Sharief and investigation taken up, the official said. A hunt has been launched to nab the suspects.
