Task force to track Gurdwara burglars

Srinagar:  During the intervening night of 24/25-03-2017, an attempt was made to break into  the donation box of a Gurdwara  at Khampora Sarai in Chadoora, Budgam.

In this connection a case FIR number 15/2017 under section 457, 380, 511, 295 RPC has been registered and investigation is going on.

For speedy investigation and to nab the culprits, a special investigation team under the supervision of ASP Budgam has been constituted.

In the meantime the guard at the Gurduwara is being strengthened. The Deputy Commissioner and District  Superintendent visited the spot and assured the Sikh community that the culprits will brought to book  as soon as possible  and all measures will be taken so that such incidents do not occur in future.
 

APSCC condemns attack on religious place 

All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) on Saturday condemned the ‘attack’ on religious place at Khimpora Sarai area of Chadoora.

APSCCC chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said, “It is unfortunate that some elements had tried to smash the donation box and other religious things at Gurduwara in Khampora Sarai area of Chadoora in the wee hours today.”

He appealed police to conduct a probe in this regard. “We appeal to the police to conduct a thorough probe in this regard so that the culprits should be punished,” he said.

Meanwhile, Raina said that the Director General of Police (DGP), S P Vaid has informed him that the SIT has been constituted in this regard while the investigation over the incident has been started. (KNS)
