JAMMU: The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has issued the schedule for revision/updation of Panchayat Electoral Rolls-2017
As per a notification issued by the CEO, the draft publication of Panchayat Electoral Rolls-2017 was made today. The draft Electoral Roll shall remain in public domain between March 25 to April 5, 2017 for filing of claims and objections for additions/deletions/corrections, if any.
Special Camps will be held from March 30 to April 2, 2017 at the Polling Booth Locations where VLW/GRS of Rural Development Department and BLOs shall remain available with the requisite forms for the guidance of the electors.
The concerned ERO will dispose of the claims and objections from April 6 to April 10, 2017.
April 11 to 14, 2017 has been fixed for updation and printing of final Electoral Roll, while as the publication of final Panchayat Electoral Roll-2017 will be done on April 15, 2017.
Pertinent to mention that block Loran of district Poonch and Block Gurez, Bagtoor, Tulail of District Bandipora and Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag districts are excluded in the schedule.
