Anantnag:- On World Tuberculosis (TB) Day,a function was held at Tuberculosis hospital Anantnag on Thursday.
The theme for this year was “Unite To End TB”.
CMO Islamabad Fazil Kochek was the chief guest on the occasion .
The function was attended by a number of senior doctor’s from Anantnag and Kulgam district participated the occasion .Tehsildar Anantnag besides hundreds of students from different nursing colleges of district Amnantnag and Kulgam also participated in the event.
Participants in the function said that there is sure dire need to raise public awareness about the spread of the disease which is treatable and preventable . They said that government has taken strong measures to control the disease and save thousands of previous lives.
It was told in the event that a new technology called CB NAAT (PCR technology ) which suspects a TB disease has been also installed in TB hospital Islamabad during the occasion to ensure patients with the proper investigations.
