New York: A short film Who Dies directed by a Kashmiri was screened at the New York Peace Film Festival (NYPFF).
Rufy Khan is a Kashmiri and works as actor and dircetor in Bollywood.
Khan said, “my dreams have not yet come true. It is just a beginning. Such recognition has motivated me to contribute my talent in Bollywood with versatile acting.”
Khan, however, thanked all people concerned for their love and support.
In Who Dies, Shahnawaz Baqal alias Rufy Khan plays an army soldier who deals with a Kashmiri militant who met him in a same Kashmiri house. The story revolves as how both deal with the situation, said Khan.
Last month, the film was screened at 10th film SAAZ international film festival. The film has won best film award in prestigious Kala Ghoda film festival 2017.
Who dies was awarded for best film on current issue in Indias most prestigious film festival in Jaipur International Film Festival, 2017.
The film was also officially selected in DON BOSCO YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL 2017 to compete among 10 top films of India.
