SRINAGAR: Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Tuesday said that like Muslims of sub-continent adopted a resolution to form Pakistan 77 years ago, her organization too will pass a similar resolution on March 23 to declare that the struggle will continue until Jammu and Kashmir becomes part of Pakistan.
March 23 holds tremendous relevance for the Muslims of the sub-continent. On this day in 1940, a unanimous resolution was adopted to form Pakistan and only after a gap of seven years, the resolution became a reality, she said in a statement.
She said, the Muslims of the sub-continent under the able leadership of Mohammad Ali Jinnah (RA) committed themselves to make the resolution a reality and finally succeeded.
Exactly after seven years, by the will of Almighty Allah, this Muslim country came into being that too on the auspicious night of Shab-e-Qadr. Behind the formation of this country, there have been lakhs of sacrifices given by the Muslim as they were massacred by the Hindu fanatics. Despite all odds, the committed Muslim of India made establishment of Pakistan a reality, she said.
Jammu and Kashmir also had to become part of Pakistan. But it seems that we are not committed to the level that Allah SWT grants us freedom from the illegal Indian occupation and we become the part of Pakistan, she said. In this regard, the DeM statement said, Aasiyeh urged the people of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate March 23 as The Day of Commitment and pass another resolution to pledge that Kashmiris are committed to the resolution that was passed 77 years ago.
She said that DeM will hold programs across Jammu and Kashmir in which it will be pledged that Kashmiris will strive to implement the resolution in letter and spirit. The women will be deliberated upon about the historical perspective of Kashmir movement and will be told that Kashmiri struggle is against the idol worshipers and to declare that we worship only one God, Allah SWT, she said.
