Bandipora : Sessions Court Bandipora on Monday dismissed the stay order on the bail order of incarcerated Hurriyat Conference (G) Secretary General (III) and Muslim League, chairperson, Masarat Alam Bhat.
CJM Bandipora had issued bail to the jailed leader last month however state had challenged the same through a petition in the Session Court.
Legal Secretary to Muslim League, Shah Riyaz, said that the said court not only dismissed the petition but also retained the bail order issued by the CJM.
Advocate Shoaib pleaded for Masarat in Session Court Bandipora.
Masarat in undergoing detention in district Court Baramulla in a case registered at police station Sumbal under FIR No 53/2015.
The rejection of state petition has paved way of Masarats release.
Masarat is continuously behind bars since 2010 barring only forty days after he strongly spearheaded the then peoples uprising.
