Poonch: Police on Wednesday said that it have solved the murder case of an army trooper and arrested his colleague involved in his killing in Poonch district of Jammu region.
Sepoy Balraj Singh, an Army trooper was found dead in Daraba sector of Poonch district with gunshot wounds, in his residential quarters on March 09, a police official said.
The officer told GNS that a case under 174 CrPc was registered earlier and during the investigations it surfaced that one L/N Sukhpal Singh S/O Sajan Singh of 16 RR had murdered the trooper.
Meanwhile, the official said that the accused Sukhpal was arrested and a case FIR No 30/2017 u/s 302 RPC 3/25. I.A. Act was registered against him in police station Surnkote.
