Srinagar: Risking the life of a patient, the doctors in the SMHS hospital are delaying the surgery to a woman who is suffering from carotid throat tumor.
The attendants of the patient who is admitted in the ward 16 of the hospital under MRD no 94416 was given two dates for the surgery.
However, the attendants said that the doctors refused to conduct her surgery, saying the hospital has no ventilator available at present.
We have been given two dates for the surgery so far but unfortunately the surgery was not conducted by the doctors. The doctors refused to conduct her surgery, saying that there was no ventilator available at present, the attendant said.
They said that delay in the surgery has resulted in the deteriorating health condition of 26-year-old woman patient who is blessed with three kids.
We appeal to the authorities to save the life of my wife with as I dont want our young children to get orphaned, Muhammad Yousuf, husband of the woman told KNS.
He appealed to the chief minister and health minister to intervene into the matter.
The doctors concerned told KNS that they dont have ventilator available in operation theatre and they had to delay the surgery.
Principal GMC, Dr Kaiser Ahmad, could not be reached by KNS despite repeated attempts. (KNS)
