Srinagar: An ailing young woman of Keran in Kupwara district died due to non availability of timely medicare as the area remains cut off for the last two months.
Asmat Jan daughter of Ijlas Khan needed emergency medical attention her family said. “We contacted the district administration urging them help”, they said.
According to KNS, villagers of Keran carried the ailing girl on a wooden cart in an attempt to take her to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment.
However the girl died before reaching hospital.
All attempts to approach Deputy Commissioner Kupwara over phone for a comment failed.
