SRINAGAR: According to the District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, a grievance cell has been established in the election cell of the DEOs office Srinagar.
Accordingly, SM DC office, Mehraj-ud Din and JA DC office Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi have been deployed in the said cell and will work under the supervision of Deputy DEO Srinagar and shall report daily to incharge District Control Room Srinagar.

Election Media Centre setup in Srinagar
With the issuance of election notification by Election Commission of India, for the forthcoming bye-elections for Srinagar-2 and Anantnag-3 Parliamentary Constituencies, a media centre has been established in the office premises of Department of Information and Public Relations, Srinagar.
The centre has been established for the dissemination of all election related news and other details. The print and electronic media can have all the election related information from the centre either by visiting the centre in person or by contacting the numbers 0194-2459172 and 0194-2476816.
Election pamphlets, posters- Candidates, printing press owners asked to send a copy to CEO: DM
As per the instructions of Election Commission of India, under the Section 127 A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 all the candidates contesting forth coming Parliamentary by-polls for Srinagar-2 and Anantnag-3 seats and owners of Printing Presses have been asked to send a copy of every election pamphlet and poster to the Chief Electoral officer(CEO) of the State or to the district Magistrate(DM) of the district in which such poster or pamphlet is printed along with a copy of deceleration for identity of publisher within a reasonable time.
Such poster or pamphlet should have the name and address of printer and publisher on its face.
Banks asked to open dedicated counters for candidates
The District Election Officer Srinagar has asked all the Banks and Post offices located in District Srinagar to open dedicated counters for Election purposes to facilitate the opening of bank accounts for Candidates contesting Parliamentary Elections for Srinagar-2 Parliamentary Constituency being held on April 09, 2017 for Election Expenditure purpose. They are also asked to allow withdrawals and deposits from said account on priority during election period.
