KARACHI: More than 100 suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday by law enforcement personnel in a fresh crackdown across Punjab as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, Geo News reported.
At least 75 suspects were detained in raids conducted in Vehari while 46 suspected people were held by police and other law enforcement personnel in Bhakkar.
On Monday, police had detained 38 suspects in raids across Lodhran, including Jeevanwala, Choti Nahar and Younuswala areas, and 39 suspects in search operation in Bhakkar.
Pakistan launched a nationwide military operation codenamed Radd-ul-Fasaad earlier this year, which includes broad-spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab and continuation of ongoing operations across the country.
The move came after deadly bombings across the country all through February, which killed hundreds of civilians.
