SOPORE : At least dozen shops were looted at different locations during the intervening night of 10, 11 March in north Kashmirs sopore town.
According to reports a dozen shops were looted by unknown persons from Chota Bazar, Shalpora and Muslimpeer areas of Sopore including dry fruits shop and decamped with money and the goods worth lakhs.
According to the shop owners, they were shocked to find their shops broken into when they came for business at wee hours on saturday said Mohammad Sultan Kana.
In other shops, the robbers looted all the cash counters, and decamped with goods worth lakhs said Gh Rasool Waza.
Other shopkeepers whose shops also looted including Gh Nabi Patoo, Abdul Rasheed Kanjwal, Mohammad Ramzan Dar, Shabeer Ahmad Waza, Mohammad Musaaab and Mohammad Muzaffar.
Meanwhile when contacted Station House officer Sopore Mudasir Geelani told PTK, We have registered a case and further investigation has been started. (PTK)
