SRINAGAR: Thousands of people took part in the funeral prayers of slain Hizb militant in Pahlupora Malangam area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Friday.
Reports said that thousands of people reached the Pahlupora Malangam village to offer last rites of Mushtaq Ahmad sher gojri despite heavy rain and Snowfall, chanted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans who was killed in a brief shootout with security forces near police station Bandipora yesterday. He was finally laid to rest amid sobs and tear, they added.
Mushtaq, according to Family sources, had joined militant ranks during 2014 flood. Police official said that Mushtaq was also active since 2016 uprising. Father of Mushtaq, Sher Dil Gojri is a surrendered Militant.
Police said, Mushtaq was most active Militant in Bandipora district. As per Locals of Malangam, Mushtaq was Elder son of his father and was leading prayers in local Masjid in Sopore area before joining the militant ranks.
