Lawyers To Boycott Courts Today
J&K High Court Bar Association Kashmir on Thursday strongly condemned the killing of a 15-year-old, 9th class student, Amir Nazir,at Padgampora Pulwama and injuring civilians including two hit by pellets while appealing the international community to open their eyes and see for themselves as to what is happening in Kashmir and how innocent civilians are killed and injured with bullets and pellets.
In a meeting held here today, it was stated, not only the Army Chief but the Director General of Police J&K, has given free hand to the Indian occupational forces to kill, blind and injure, innocent unarmed Kashmiris, without having any kind of respect for their age and the state of their health.
Nowhere else in the world are the pellets used to blind the people but it is only in Kashmir that pellets are used against the innocent civilians and they are not only blinded by these pellets but are also killed by use of brute force. Instead of settling the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of people, the Indian Government and its stooges in Kashmir are using all barbaric tactics to suppress the people of Kashmir in order to stop them from asking for their right of self-determination which is guaranteed to them both under international law and more than 28 Security Council Resolutions, Bar said in a statement.
The Bar members while paying tributes to those, who were killed at Padgampora and while expressing their solidarity with those who got injured by use of bullets and pellets over there, asked the International Community to intervene and stop India from brutalizing, killing, blinding and maiming innocent Kashmiris and direct it to respect the International Laws and the guarantees given there under to the people for the protection of their human rights and also call upon India to settle the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the people of Kashmir, so that the people of sub-continent live in peace and tranquillity.
The statement added that Bar members also decided to support the strike call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership for Friday – the 10th of March, 2017 while appealing its members to suspend their work for tomorrow and not to cause their appearance in any court. (PTK).
Soldiers Have Taken Rawats Threat As A License To Kill Kashmiris: Rasheed
Incumbent Langate lawmaker Er Rasheed has said that New Delhi has turned complete blind and hostile towards people of Kashmir and the arrogance and egoistic attitude is not allowing it to understand the ground realities.
While reacting to Padgampora Pulwama encounter in which dozens of civilians were injured and a sixteen year old teenager Aamir Nazir and another person Jalal-ud-din were killed, Er Rasheed said that the incident is painful but at the same time it proves that situation has gone out of hands of New Delhi.
He said, Though security forces have been targeting unarmed civilians from the day one, the threats of Indian Army Chief Bipan Rawat have given them a license to kill Kashmiris. Let New Delhi and its puppets answer what forced thousands of masses to risk their lives to try to save the lives of two slain militants killed in the encounter.
Rasheed in a statement said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti seems to have given up her basic duties towards people of the state and does not bother to control even her own police to be just in power she is acting like an OGW to security forces and has given forces a freehand to do what they want, just to ensure that she remains in good books of New Delhi.
