JAMMU: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two persons with fake currency worth Rs 3.94 lakh from the outskirts of Jammu city.
Acting on a tip off, Amandeep Singh, son of Kirpal Singh of Simbal Morh, Ranbir Singh Pura was arrested last night from his native place in Miran Sahib village, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, S D Singh Jamwal, told reporters in Jammu today afternoon.
“A printer with a lead and an adapter, fake currency notes of denomination Rs 2000 with print on both sides, 166 fake currency notes of denomination Rs 2000 with print on one side, 68 fake currency notes of denomination Rs 500 with single side print, two notes of genuine currency of denomination Rs 2000, two scales and a cutter were recovered from his possession,” he said.
