SOPORE: After the Congregational Friday Prayers clashes triggered between youth and security forces in Sopore town of north Kashmir today.
Reports said that soon after the Friday Prayers youth assembled near old Jamia Masjid and started shouting pro-freedom slogans. Later they youth started stone pelting on the deployed security forces in the area.
However police resorted to tear gas shelling and pellet firing to disperse the stone pelters. Meanwhile police arrested three stone pelters whose identity was not ascertained immediately. However no reports of any injuries were received in the clash.
