Sopore: A 28-year-old youth was critically injured in North Kashmirs Sopore town on Monday evening.
The youth was identified as one Mohammad Ahsan Mir, who is a carpenter by profession and a resident of Adipura, and was critically injured on his head when he was on way to home at Arampora Sopore.
Speaking to the Kashmir Observer, SP Sopore, Harmeet Singh Mehta said, “police received a report around 8 PM that the youth has been hit by a sharp edged weapon.”
He denied reports of any bullet or pellet injury. “It can be a road accident or a fight (between two groups/ persons),” he added.
Mir was rushed to SKIMS Soura from Sopore hospital. The BMO Sopore was quoted by some news reports, we referred him to Srinagar hospital for further treatment.
