Srinagar: Five gamblers were arrested and a stake money of over one lac was recovered from them at Pahalgam in District Anantnag Saturday afternoon, Police said on Saturday
Acting on a specific information, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Pahalgam Tariq Ahmad Khan raided a gambling place at Pahalgam today afternoon. During the raid five gamblers were apprehended who were identified as Mohammad Iqbal Sofal, Shabir Ahmad Ganie, Farooq Ahmad Gatòo, Irshad Ahmad Bhat and Shakeeel Ahmad Dar. Police team recovered a stake money of Rs. 122510 from the gambling site.
A case FIR number 08/2017 under section 13 Gambling act has been registered against these gamblers and further investigation has been taken up.
