Kupwara: A Bank official was caught in a compromising position with a woman by police in a Bank employees house in Sogam area of Kupwara district.
Reliable sources said that someone tipped-off the police about official (name withheld) of a Bank being in an objectionable position with a woman inside the house of the employee of the same bank.
The police team from Sogam police station conducted the raid and arrested the Bank official and the woman. The owner of the house who happens to be the peon of the Sogam branch of the same bank was also taken into custody.
Initial reports said that after verification the Bank Manger was let off, however, SSP Kupwara Mr Shamsher Hussain said that the trio has been arrested and a formal case against them has been registered. They have been arrested and an FIR has been lodged, he said.
A police official from Police Station Sogam declined to comment on the issue but said that investigation has been taken up. (CNS)
