SRINAGAR: Legislator and senior CPI(M) leader Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami has castigated government for its non-seriousness about the possession of Dulhasti and Uri power projects from the Government of India.
While speaking on demands on Power Development Department, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami criticized the coalition government that despite tall claims for return of Dulhasti and Uri power projects nothing concrete has emerged so far. The answer to the cut motion regarding the return of these power projects is vague and evasive and nothing substantial has come out of the so-called negotiations of the state government with the Government of India on this subject.
He questioned the government how long the people have to be fed with the hollow claims. He said that Government is beating about the bush and not coming clear on the issue. At least Government should inform us about the responses made by the Government of India on this issue. The reply from the government is not satisfactory, Tarigami said.
Pertinently, Government in its reply has said that they are actively pursuing the matter with the government of India. (CNS)
