Srinagar: Hurriyat G Chairman Syed Ali Geelani was Saturday shifted to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS ) Soura for a routine medical check-up under police custody.
Talking to Kashmir Observer, Hurriyat G spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said that they were taking the octogenarian leader for a routine check up to SKIMS Soura .
But as soon as Geelani left his residence, the police vehicles followed him he added.
According to Geelani’s youngest son Syed Naseem, after complaining of chest pain doctors advised him to go for thorough checkup, so we took him to SKIMS for a medical checkup.
