NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today justified the imposition of emergency in the country in 1976 saying it infused accountability among the masses.
During the emergency period, people were bound to be accountable. Absconding Bank Manager Nabbed

SRINAGAR: The 41.5 lac embezzlement case of the Kamraaz Rural Bank seems to have been wrapped after the arrest of the Manager of the Kralpora (Kupwara) branch of the said bank.
The Bank authorities had shifted the branch from Kralpora to Kupwara proper after the embezzlement was discovered and the Branch Manager declared absconding. The case had then been handed over to the police.
The Branch Manager was nabbed in Kupwara 20 days after the police launched a hunt for him.
