Bandipora: Despite the orders by Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar of banning government teachers from running private coaching classes maximum Govt teachers in this north Kashmirs Bandipora district which is also home town of Education Minister are running the private tuition mocking the Govt orders.
Reliable sources told PTK many govt teachers are running private tuition Institution in main town Bandipora. The teachers are from DIET Bandipora, Govt girls higher secondary Bandipora, Arin higher secondary and Aragam higher secondary and Nadim memorial Govt high secondary Kaloosa Bandipora.
Though few unemployed educated youth are hired just to show that no government teacher is working there, but most of teachers are employed with the government, said a group of students.
Talking to PTK here in Gulshan Chowk Bandipora many students from Bandipora and its adjoining area’s said that Maximum Govt teachers are running coaching centres since past two months and hardly cares about the orders issued by the Education Minister.
One of the students wishing anonymity said, concerned teachers does not care for anybody all he cares about the money, if we fail to submit the fee at the last day Of the month, they does not allow us to entry In the class, it is the vulgarity by the concerned teachers he added.
To evade raids from the authorities, these Government teachers have adopted different tactics including delivering lectures during morning hours at the coaching centers and residences. These teachers deliver lectures in the coaching centers before the beginning of the official timings due to which they are not being caught by the administration, said Rameez Ahmad a student.
In violation of rules, these government teachers are running these coaching centers from rented rooms built on shops that fall on roadsides, which are centers of noise from traffic, Besides violating law, there are no facilities of heating and seating arrangement provided by these coaching centers, the students said.
However, the District administration seems in deep slumber as no action has been taken against them, thereby leaving an unemployed youth to suffer. The teachers which are presently serving in many government institutes including higher secondary and colleges are teaching students presently here that too in small rooms where students continue to jostle for space.
When contacted, Chief Education Officer Bandipora Mohd Shafi War, we have framed a committee for keeping vigil of private coaching centres. If any teacher or lecturer is found teaching at private coaching centers or in a residential house, he or she would be dealt with strictly
