Sopore: People here in North Kashmirs Sopore town observed shutdown to mourn the death of a senior militant commander.
Muzaffar Ahmed Naikoo alias Muza Molvi was killed in a brief encounter with government forces in Gulzarpora Mochua area of Central Kashmirs Budgam district. He was one of the longest surviving militant who had joined militancy in 2007.
Eyewitnesses said that all the shops and business establishments remained shut while transport remained off the roads.
