Srinagar- Suspected militants attacked the house of a senior National Conference (NC) leader in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said here today.
They said militants fired with automatic weapons towards the house of MLC of opposition NC Showkat Ahmad Ganie at Chitragam, Shopian last night. However, the security guards posted there also retaliated but the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
No one was injured, they said adding Ganie is in Jammu to attend the session.
