Srinagar: The text of Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Muhammad Umar Farooq, was circulated among the participants of the National assembly of Pakistan where the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif described Kashmir as integral part of Pakistan while hailing the determination of Kashmiris for the struggle for right to self determination.
Copies of the written speech of Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq were distributed in the seminar organized by Young Parliamentarians Forum, National Assembly of Pakistan in Islamabad, Pakistan to discuss and analyse various dimensions of Kashmir dispute and prospects of its resolution in the larger interest of the global security, according to the readout in statement.
The spokesman said that Mirwaiz had been invited to address the seminar but due to non availability of passport he could not attend the seminar in person.
He expressed his views in a written speech which was distributed by the organizers among the participants, he said.
According to the statement, in his text address Mirwaiz said that I express my gratitude to Young Parliamentarians Forum, National Assembly of Pakistan for inviting me as a guest speaker to its seminar on various dimensions of Kashmir issue and the desirability of its resolution. I would love to personally participate in the event but due to continuous refusal by the Government of India to issue a passport in my favour I am unable to participate in person.
Kashmir dispute, one of the oldest disputes on United Nations agenda remains a continuous threat to the peace and stability of not only South Asia but the entire world. Mirwaiz said.
The text readout that, hundreds of thousands of people have lost their lives since the start of this dispute in1947 and this phenomenon is still going on. The absence of the will to resolve the dispute has also become the main reason of enormous sufferings of the people in Kashmir.
In the text speech Mirwaiz said that, Being the main cause of tension and the core issue between India and Pakistan this dispute has become the basic reason for a race of acquiring weapons and war machinery for both the countries.
