Budgam: A lineman working with Power Development Department (PDD) Budgam was electrocuted to death in Khansahab area of central Kashmirs Budgam district early Friday, said an official said.
The deceased, identified as Abdul Salam Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat, resident of Bugroo in Khansahab, received an electric shock while making repairs at a power sub-station in his village.
An official said that Bhat had reportedly informed officials at Bugroo receiving station about the repair work but despite that power supply was connected to the area.
This is the second such incident within last ten days in which PDD employee was electrocuted to death.
On December 27, a need base lineman had died of electric shock in Nagbal village of Khag.
