Srinagar: Stating that Article 370 is the bridge between India and Jammu and Kashmir, All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader, Meem Afzal on Thursday said that nobody can erode Article 370 from the state.
Addressing a news conference here at a local hotel, Afzal said that the current regime in centre cant succeed in eroding the Article 370.
Even nobody either from centre or from the state can erode it as it is the only bridge between J&K and India, he said.
He said that the Congress party has always supported Article 370 and will continue to support.
Afzal, who is also a spokesperson of All India Congress Committee (AICC), said that the government will also never succeed in issuing domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees (WPR).
When all the parties are against the government then Congress party which is in opposition will also join their hands with the parties who are against the move, he said.
If the government is trying to take any initiate like WPRs then they should call all political parties meet and whatever the meaningful decision will come out, we will go with that, the AICC leader said.
