Srinagar: Train services between Srinagar and Banihal resumed Saturday after remaining suspended for two days following clashes between protesters and forces in southern parts of Kashmir.
However, train service between Budgam to Baramulla was resumed Friday after three days following improvement in the situation and repair of track.
Rail service between Baramulla in north to Budgam and Srinagar in central Kashmir and Islamabad and Qazigund to Banihal remained suspended for more than four months due to unrest in the Kashmir valley during which rail track and other properties were damaged. However, the rail run was resumed last week after conducting repair work.
