Srinagar: Air traffic from Srinagar International Airport resumed Saturday after remaining suspended due to poor visibility yesterday, when only three flights could operate in the morning.
According to an airport official, visibility is very good and flights are operating normally, he said adding situation will be reviewed as per weather conditions as there is forecast for rain or snow later in the day in the Kashmir valley.
Air traffic from the only airport in the Kashmir valley was disrupted several times this winter due to poor visibility.
A group of MPs from Jammu and Kashmir had recently met central leaders urging them to install latest system at Srinagar airport so that flights could operate even during poor visibility.
