ANANTNAG: Authorities on Thursday suspended mobile phone and internet services in Anantnag district following an encounter in Arwani area of Bijbehara town.
According to sources, the measure was taken keeping in view the encounter in Arwani.
“Only landline phones are functioning in some parts of Anantnag district,” said a local.
Firing between holed up militants and the government forces resumed this morning after the operation was suspended last evening.
