Srinagar: With the University of Kashmir likely to conduct under graduate examinations by the end of December, the students of 3rd year today held a protest demonstration in Press Enclave Srinagar demanding relaxation in the annual examination syllabus.
The protesting students said their class work started in May. However, after attending the classes for just two months, the class work was stopped due to the uprising.
“How can we sit in the examinations when we have not completed our syllabus,” the students questioned, “We deserve a relaxation as we could not complete our syllabus.”
Accusing the University of Kashmir authorities of not understanding their plight, the students, “The University authorities are adamant and do not show any intent of relaxation in our syllabus.”
