SRINAGAR : Ghulam Mohammad Khan, an elderly man who was hit by a teargas shell on 90-feet road Soura on November 2 died at SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura last night, hospital authorities said.
Khan,75, a resident of Ellahibagh locality and a former president of Secretariat Employees Union was hit by a teargas shell outside his house on November 2.
He was on ventilator since and medicos treating him had said that the chances of his survival were bleak.
His family has alleged from day one that there were no protests in the area and police action was completely unwarranted. He was sitting outside his home with some of his friends when a gypsy stopped and fired a tear smoke shell.
