Srinagar: Two persons were killed and nine others were injured in separate road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here this afternoon.
They said a Tractor skidded off the road at Zisnard in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, resulting in on spot death of one person, Amir Ahmad Shah and injuries to three persons. All the injured were rushed to a hospital.
Meanwhile, an unidentified vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian, Ghulam Ahmad Rather, at Pattan in north Kashmir district of Baramulla. The injured was rushed to Sub District Hospital Pattan where he succumbed.
In another incident, a pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle at Ashmuqam in Anantnag. The injured was hospitalized.
He said a vehicle collided with a Scooty at Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider and his pillion mate. Both the injured were rushed to hospital. The scooty rider was later referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar.
A truck skidded off the road on Srinagar-Jammu national highway near in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, two persons were injured in the incident.
He said woman was injured when she fell from a motorcycle at Jawahar Nagar in Srinagar. The injured was hospitalized.
