Srinagar: Four persons including two active members of a militant organization, who according to police, had got money from Pakistan for fueling and sustaining the present unrest in Sopore area, police said.
According to police, two persons who are active militants namely Gowhar Ahmed Bhat resident of Mir Sahib Baramulla and Hilal Ahmed Gojri resident of Syed Karim Baramulla who are active members of militant organization Tehreek-i-Jehad-i-Islami (TJI) based in Pakistan.
“They had visited Pakistan during ongoing unrest. During their questioning names of two more persons Showkat Ali Gazi resident of Sidiq Colony Sopore and Zahoor Ahmed Shagoo resident of Tawheed Bagh Sopore surfaced. Incriminating documents were recovered from their possession,” police confirmed.
During the questioning the duo, according to police, revealed that during their visit to Pakistan they received Rs 50000 each and were promised more funds for fueling the current unrest. “Both of them have been arrested. In this connection a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up,” police said.
