Srinagar: The authorities in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district Friday booked father and son under controversial Public Safety Act (PSA). They were immediately shifted to Kot Balwal jail.
According to KNS, the father-son duo of Hajin were arrested by police a few days back.
They were identified as Ali Muhammad Dar, son of Muhammad Maqbool Dar and his son Showkat Ahmad Dar.
Ali Muhammad, a retired teacher is a Hurriyat activist and also an Imam in local Masjid. He was earlier arrested for allegedly ‘instigating violence’ while his son, Showkat Ahmad has been booked over the charges of stone-pelting.
Report said that the father-son duo was arrested a few days at separate places.
“Father was arrested when he was coming out from the local Masjid and his son was arrested on way to Srinagar a few days back,” said locals.
