Srinagar: After the verification conducted into the allegation of illegal appointments of class 4th employees made in Municipal Council Baramulla in the year 2010-11 by then Executive Officer, Municipal Council Baramulla Ghulam Mohammad Lone of Batwina Ganderbal.
According to sources, the Vigilance has found that without any competence, without following set procedure and in gross violation of framed rules and regulations made a number of illegal backdoor appointments, engagements, regularisations in the Municipal Council.
The said accused public servant is found to have abused his official position under conspired plan in league with the accused beneficiaries who are about 72 in number made illegal appointments/engagements/regularizations of these beneficiaries.
The aforesaid acts of omission/commission on the part of the above said public servant in connivance with the beneficiaries disclosed the commission of offences punishable u/s 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act, and section 120-B RPC.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 20/2016-VOK is registered in P/S Vigilance Organization, Kashmir. (PTK)
