Srinagar: Director General Punjab Police Tuesday assured that every possible measure would be taken for the safety and security of Kashmiri students studying in the state.
"Every possible measure will be taken for the safety and security of Kashmiri students. A congenial atmosphere is being created so that the students may not feel insecure," Punjab police chief Suresh said.
According to an official release, Punjab Police has already issued an advisory to all educational institutions across the state to ensure safety and security of the students.
According to reports at least 40 Kashmiri students have left for home due to insecurity following harassment by a group of students at a private college in Khanna of Ludhiana district in the wake of Uri attack and tension on Line of Control (LoC).
