Srinagar: Srinagar International Airport was briefly shut after an air force jet “over shot while landing”.
Sources said that an air force Jet MIG 20 landed ahead of the run way but the pilot was ejected safely.
Sources said that all flights which were scheduled to take off and land were cancelled in view of the crisis.
The informed sources said that the jet landed 200 meters short of run way. “Due to the faulty landing of the MIG, there have been some damages done to the run way,” sources said.
The civilian flights to and fro Srinagar Airport were briefly delayed in view of the jet making emergency landing.
