SRINAGAR:Army on Tuesday claimed to have killed 8 militants in J&K's Uri sector for trying to infiltrate into India.
Eight infiltrators were killed when they were trying to sneak into India in the Uri sector of Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, said sources.
Sources said a group of 15 'infiltrators' was beaten back at Lachipora, a few kilometres away from the Indian Army’s 12 Brigade headquarters in Uri which was attacked by militants two days ago.
The combing operations are still on in the area, sources added.
