Baramulla; Police Thursday claimed that it arrested two militants from Pattan town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official said that both the militants were active in North Kashmir from past few years and were affiliated with militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen.
He identified the apprehended militants as Parvez Ahmed Mir son of Ali Muhammad and Showkat Ahmed Ganaie son of Muhammad Ramzan both residents of Andargam Pattan.
“We have recovered arms and ammunitions from them that included an AK 47 rifle, 2 AK 56 rifles, 40mm Russian Grenade Launcher, magazines and other war like sorties,” the police official told CNS adding that both the militants are being questioned at the moment. (CNS)
