Srinagar:Urging upon Pakistan to rejuvenate its ‘life-less’ Kashmir policy, conglomerate of militant organizations United Jihad Council has advised armed militants of Kashmir to keep themselves aloof from protest rallies and political programs in Valley.
To assess the Kashmir situation, a high level meeting was presided by UJC chief Syed Salhauddin. During the meeting it was felt that militants ‘whose only aim is to focus on Indian armed forces’ should stay away from people’s protest rallies and marches. The statement issued to news agency CNS states that Syed Salahuddin asked Pakistan to either directly help people of Kashmir or give a new direction to its ‘life-less’ Kashmir Policy so that international community could be made conscious of Kashmir happenings. “The martyrdom of Burhan Wani has united the whole nation and its leadership. A sincere leadership with effective strategy could help the nation achieve its goal. There is dire need to be united and to foil the sinister designs of Indian agencies that are hell-bent to sow the seeds of disunity among the people and the leadership,” he said.
Expressing anguish over the continuous curfew and restrictions, Syed Salahuddin said under a planned manner people are being deprived from the necessities of life. “This plan is aimed at to break the resolve of the common freedom loving masses and if this continues it will give birth to a great humanitarian crisis.”
