Srinagar: The Press Council of India (PCI) has invited entries for ‘National Awards for Excellence in Journalism’ to be conferred on National Press Day on 16 November 2016. The awards are being conferred to commemorate 50 years of establishment of PCI.
According to a notification issued by PCI, the journalists and pho-journalists including freelancers from across the country, can submit entries for the award by 20 August 2016.
Various categories of PCI awards for the journalists and photo-journalists include; Raja Ram Mohan Roy National Award for Excellence in Journalism, award for Rural Journalism and Development Reporting, award for Investigative Journalism, award for photo-journalism and award for newspaper art including cartoons, caricatures and illustrations.
All entries for these awards should be addressed to the Secretary, Press Council of India, Soochna Bhawan, 8-CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003.
