SRINAGAR:Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, Wednesday convened a meeting here to review the progress of developmental works being carried out in Ganderbal district.
During the meeting, the officers representing different departments apprised the Minister about the bottlenecks faced by them in timely execution of projects, particularly the shortage of construction material, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Akhtar issued spot instructions to concerned heads of different agencies for procuring the material so that the projects are completed in time.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on a number of projects under execution in Ganderbal district.
Akhtar assured the officers that he will personally take up issues faced by them at the appropriate level in the government.
The Minister also stressed on immediate restoration of classwork in all the government-run and private schools of the district.
In this regard, he instructed the District Administration to ensure the presence of all teaching and non-teaching staff in respective schools as a first step towards resuming normal classwork.
