Srinagar: Lauding doctors for their exemplary work, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today said that doctors have been working tirelessly since day one of civil unrest.
Terming them real-life superheroes, President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement said that for last two weeks doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff were silently toiling round the clock to save sick and wounded.
Working quietly behind scenes, doctors have been caring for the survivors and consoling relatives of victims following unrest that killed 48 persons and left thousands injured. They were working day in and day out without proper food and beyond shift hours, he said. He added that they have been performing life-saving surgeries and trying to console traumatized patients and their anxious relatives. It was unimaginable for any health system to cope with such a magnitude of trauma, but the strong will of these brave hearts made it possible.
