SRINAGAR: At least five youths were injured when forces fired by pellets in Old Srinagar on Thursday evening.
Reports reaching here said that an ambulance rushed to SMHS this evening carrying five youths. The identity of the injured could not be ascertained immediately.
Locals reports said that forces fired pellets when minor protests were going on in the area. The injured youths were first shifted to Rainawari hospital wherefrom they were rushed to SMHS.
The use of non-lethal pellet gun has left civilians with lethal injuries.
At least 40 civilians were killed by forces since last Saturday, a day after militant commander Burhan Wani was killed.
